CLEVELAND, Miss.– The Delta State University Women's Soccer team was back at home Friday September 13, 2019. The Lady Statesmen took on the Panthers of Florida Tech with both teams looking for their first win of the season. In the end niether team could find the back of the net and the contest ended in a 0-0 tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Panthers came out firing with several quick shots.

DSU answered with a couple of shots as well.

Both teams had four corner kicks.

Florida Tech ended up attempting five more shots than Delta State.

The Panthers also doubled the amount of fouls DSU committed.

NOTABLES:

This is the first time the Lady Statesmen have opened the season with back to back ties.

Amanda Hilliard had seven saves in the game.
