CLEVELAND, Miss.– The Delta State University Women's Soccer team took on Florida Southern on Sunday September 15, 2019. The Lady Statesmen suffered their first loss of the season, after a 2-0 defeat to the Moccassins.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Florida Southern's first goal was scored by Madison Hald 12:05 into the game.
It was the first shot of the game for either team.
DSU's first shot didn't come until 34 minutes into the contest.
That shot came from Diana Okechukwu.
Cali Larson scored the second goal for the Mocs 26:42 into the game.

NOTABLES:

The Lady Statemen had eleven shots on the day and out shot FSC by three attempts.
Amanda Hilliard had four more saves against FSC.
Anna Whitehead led the way way with three shots.
