SEARCY, Ark.– The Delta State University men's soccer team scored two goals in the final 30 minutes to complete the comeback and win their second straight victory of the season.
Zachary Breaux and
Owen Howard each scored their first goals of the season in the victory. It was only the second win all time against Harding University for the Statesmen.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team was able to establish much offense in the first 30 minutes as there were only a combined four shots with just one on goal.
- In the 34th minute Matthew Edwards fouled Christian Ramos in the box and gave Harding a penalty kick.
- Christian Ramos converted the penalty for the only goal of the game for Harding.
- To start the second Delta State turned up the pressure but could not convert.
- In the 62nd minute, Breaux got the equalizer with an assist from Odin Johannsson.
- Then in the 85th minute, Owen Howard scored the game winning goal on an assist from Josue Villalta.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Harding out shot DSU 9-8 but both teams had three shots on goal.
- The Bison also committed three more fouls than the Green and White.
- The Statesmen, holding a high line, forced the Bison into ten offside.
- DSU earned two yellow cards and Harding earned three.
NOTABLES
- This is the first time since October of 2016 that the Statesmen have won back to back games.
- First time DSU has defeated Harding since 2015.
- It was the first career goal for Owen Howard.
