CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University Head Football Coach Todd Cooley announced the Statesmen to begin fall practices on Friday, October 16 at Parker Field-McCool Stadium.
"We are excited to get on the field and go to work," Cooley said. "Our players have not let this pandemic affect them and have worked extremely hard on their conditioning and in the weight room. We are eager to start practicing and take the next step in developing our team and culture."
The Statesmen only had to replace one staff member from the 2019 staff, adding Chris West, who will coach the defensive line. West comes to Delta State from Huntingdon College.
The Green and White open the slate with their first practice on Friday, Oct. 16 at 4 p.m., and have scrimmages on Sat., Oct. 31 and Sat., Nov. 7 at 10 a.m.
