Zyaire Ewing, who had 24 points and 16 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a back and forth opening couple of minutes, MC pulled out to an eight point lead with 1:11 left on the clock in the first quarter.
- DSU started to chip away at the lead behind a couple of baskets by Shaniyah Buford.
- The Lady Statesmen outscored Mississippi College 14-8 in the second quarter to take a one-point lead at the half time break.
- In the third quarter, both teams traded buckets until Ewing scored back-to-back shots to give the Lady Statesmen a 35-30 lead with 1:42 left to go in the fourth.
- To start the fourth quarter, MC closed the lead back to two before DSU extended the lead to eight at 44-36 with 5:39 to go in the game.
- Nene Williams hit a three-point shot for the Lady Choctaws to make it a two-point game with 1:15 to go in the game.
- Moriah Hurst then tied the game for Mississippi College at 46-46 with 22 seconds to go in the game and DSU couldn't hit their shot on the other end to send the game to overtime.
- In the first overtime, neither team led by more than three points. Hurst then hit a reverse layup to give MC a 57-55 lead with 4.6 seconds left.
- After a DSU timeout Buford missed a jumper, but Kirstin Brown rebounded and scored a layup with 0.2 seconds left to send the game to a second overtime.
- Alanna Canady hit two jump shots for MC to give them a one-point advantage with 3:11 left to go and then MC hit six free throws to seal the win.

- Buford added 19 points in the loss scoring a total of 42 points in the two games against Mississippi College.
