2020 STATESMEN FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University Athletic Director
Mike Kinnison announced the addition of a home-and-home football series with Angelo State University on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
The Statesmen kick-off the 2020 campaign on Thursday, Sept., 3 at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field in San Angelo, Texas, at 6 p.m. Angelo State will make a return visit to the Delta and visit Parker Field at McCool Stadium for the 2021 season opener on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021.
DSU is slated to host four games at home in the upcoming 2020 season, which includes playing host to the defending NCAA Division II National Champion University of West Florida Argonuats for the 35th Annual Pig Pickin' game on Sat., Oct. 3 at 6 p.m.
Shorter University visits Parker Field on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m., followed by a contest against the University of North Greenville on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m.
The 88
th Homecoming game features a showdown with in-state and Gulf South Conference rival Mississippi College on Sat., Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.
Following the season opener in Texas, the Statesmen travel east to Greenville, Tenn., to battle Tusculum University on Sat., Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. The reamaining road contests in the 2020 season include Valdosta State Unviersity (Oct. 17 | TBA), the University of West Alabama (Oct. 31 | 2 p.m.) and West Georgia (Nov. 4 | 1 p.m. CT).
