CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University women's basketball coach Craig Roden has announced the signing of center Grace Watson. 

Watson, a 6-foot center from Hazel Green, Ala., has helped Hazel Green High School bring home multiple state championships in Alabama 6A on the women's basketball side.

"Grace is a player we are very excited to add to our roster," said Roden. "Hazel Green had a couple post players graduate in previous seasons, and Watson has stepped into that role and is having a fantastic season."

Watson also received All-County basketball honors and is averaging 10.5 points per game, 10.9 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, and 1.4 blocks per game.

"She has been working hard and continues to improve," said Roden. "We are fortunate to add her to our class, and with the other players we have signed coming in, we expect this group to make a big impact for Lady Statesmen basketball in the years to come."
