CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University men's soccer team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime loss to Christian Brothers University on Sunday afternoon at Delta Field.
Delta State scored the opening goal in the 33rd minute. However, CBU scored the equalizer in the closing minutes in the contest and in the first overtime period, CBU found the back of the net to win the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first shot didn't occur until 14 minutes into the game when CBU took a shot that went wide.
- Remi Emeriau scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season in the 33rd minute on a pass from Tom Toulson.
- Emeriau and Mattis Kloepper each earned a yellow card in the second half for time wasting.
- With just two minutes remaining in regulation, Caleb Tammi pounced on a loose ball and sent a shot into the top corner for the equalizer for CBU.
- DSU had an early opportunity in the overtime period but Andrej Markesic's header was saved.
- The game winner came in the 98th minute from Kostya Domaratskyy for CBU.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- DSU had six shots to CBU's 12. Delta State had three shots on target while the Bucs had four.
- Each team had 13 fouls in the contest.
- Both goal keepers had two saves.
- The Statesmen have now lost eight straight to CBU.
