CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University men's soccer team allowed two first half goals on the way to a 2-1 defeat to the University of West Florida on Friday afternoon.
Odinn Johannson scored a goal in the second half, but that was a close as the Statesmen could get.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- UWF came out firing and Keegan Ancelin scored on the second shot of the game in the 12th minute.
- Kainin Dos Santos added the Argos' second goal in the 33rd minute.
- Pablo Lopez-Melus earned a yellow card for the Statesmen in the 37th minute.
- DSU's first shot of the game was taken by Eldi Seiti in the 43rd minute.
- Johannson scored his second goal of the season in the 63rd minute.
- The Statesmen had a flurry of corner kicks and shots in the last 15 minutes but could not find the back of the net for the equalizer.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
	- DSU had eight shots to UWF's nine. UWF had five shots on goal to DSU's three. 
- There were a combined 27 fouls in the contest as UWF had 16 and DSU had 11.
- Both teams had five corner kicks.
- This was the fourth straight loss for the Statesmen to the Argonauts.

Delta State will host Spring Hill College at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Delta Field. The Statesmen will also recognize six seniors for senior day before the game.
