CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University women's soccer team defeated Spring Hill College 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at Delta Field, delivering the team's sixth straight win over Badgers.

Amanda Hilliard,
Addison Mills,
Jennifer Lopez,
Mia Ramirez,
Mary Ann O'Kennedy,
Madison Lafontaine,
Blanca Osorio,
Anna Whitehead, and Lucia Chacon Habis, before the start of the game as a part of senior day festivities.
With the win, Delta State secured a spot as a host school for a first-round game in the upcoming Gulf South Conference soccer tournament for the first time in school history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- DSU came out firing with Madison Lafontaine taking a shot just two minutes into the contest
- Mia Ramirez scored the opening goal of the game in the 22nd minute on a pass from Addison Mills.
- Three minutes later, Lafontaine got her first goal of the game on a pass from Ramirez.
- In the 37th minute, Ramirez scored her second goal on a pass from Carra Hymel.
- The fourth goal came from Robyn Moody, who scored on a free kick from 28 yards out.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- DSU had 17 shots to SHC's five. DSU also had 11 shots on goal.
- Ramirez now has four goals on the season, tying Jae'lasha Julien for most goals for the Lady Statesmen.
- Lafontaine scored her first goal of the season and Moody scored her second goal.
- Goalkeeper Kalah Hoard for the Lady Statesmen had her first save of the season.
