CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University men's basketball team dropped its fourth game with a 61-56 loss to Blue Mountain College on Tuesday evening.
The Statesmen and Toppers traded the lead four times early in the second before Blue Mountain pulled away and held on to the win.
Airen Brooks led the way for Delta State with 16 points.

- The Statesmen had their highest free throw percentage on the season making 13-of-16 for 81.3 percent.
- Delta State had its lowest rebounding total of the season with only 29.
- Kasey Walker-Gregg (12 points) and Kelen Dietrich (12 points) joined Brooks in double figures.
- The Statesmen had five different scoring droughts of over two minutes in the game.
- In the first half, BMC made three more field goals, but the Statesmen made six more free throws to keep the game tied at the halftime break.
- In the first half, the two teams played a 7:11 stretch without a whistle blown.
- BMC went the final four and half minutes without a field goal as well.
