CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University women's soccer team made a
Diana Okechukwu goal in the first minute of the game hold up to claim a 1-0 victory over the University of Louisiana at Monroe on Thursday afternoon are Parker Field-McCool Stadium. The goal gives Okechukwu 17 for her career which is second most all time in DSU history. The seventh win for the Lady Statesmen gives them the third most wins in a single season.
The game was also Senior Day as Okechukwu and
Tasha Toms played their final home game for the Lady Statesmen.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Statesmen grabbed a 1-0 lead less than one minute into the game. Diana Okechukwu goal from Niamh Jestin.
- Amanda Hilliard turned away Louisiana-Monroe's first shot by Daisy Drake in the ninth minute.
- Lena Goppel had ULM's second scoring chance in the 43rd minute, but Hilliard made the save to preserve a 1-0 lead at halftime.
- ULM had nine shots and five shots on goal in the second half but could not convert on the offensive end.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Warhawks out shot the Lady Statesmen 11-5, including a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.
- Okechukwu and Carra Hymel led DSU with two shots, while both Okechukwu's shots were on target.
- Lady Statesmen goalkeeper Amanda Hilliard made four saves to move into second in career saves with 169. The junior passed Bonnie Keene (2004-2005) and Megan Galloway (2010-2013), who had 165 career stops.
- The clean sheet was Hilliard's sixth on the season and increasing her DSU career shutouts record to 17.
- Hilliard has not conceded a goal in 290 consecutive minutes of action.
- ULM goalie Hailey Hillock had one save on the afternoon.
- Janet Stopka took three shots, one on goal, and Courtney Marten had two shots on goal to lead ULM.
