CLEVELAND, Miss. – The University of Alabama Huntsville (16-15, 14-13 GSC) took a 5-0 win over the Delta State University baseball team (22-14, 19-13 GSC) to win the series 2-1 on on Sunday at Harvey Stadium-Ferriss Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brett Barbee's RBI single in the fourth inning gave UAH a 1-0 lead.
- Garrett Bodine walked and scored on a Landon Ezzell sac-fly to make the score 2-0 in the fifth.
- Zach Duvall led off the sixth inning with a solo home run to push the UAH lead to 3-0.
- UAH made the score 4-0 on an RBI double by Carson Villalta in the eighth.
- The Chargers added another run in to hold a 9-0 going to the bottom of the ninth.
ON THE MOUND
- Josh Lewis (0-2) yielded three runs on six hits with five strikeouts as the pitch of record for the Statesmen.
- Kody Keiser (2-2) posted five strikeouts and allowed two his over nine scoreless innings to earn the win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Hayden White and Blayke Dendy collected the two hits for the Statesmen.
- The two hits by the Statesmen tied a season low set in the season opener against Shorter on Feb. 6.
- The shutout was the first shutout in 75 games in the series.
