Tom Toulson, but were held scoreless in the second half as the Cumberland Phoenix snagged the 3-2 victory on Monday afternoon at Kirk Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After some back-and-forth early possessions, Delta State notched the game's first goal.
- For the second time in as many games, Remi Emeriau found the back of the net in the game's opening 20 minutes, as his 17th minute goal gave the Statesmen a 1-0 lead.
- Back-to-back Cumberland goals put the Phoenix up 2-1 at the 38 minute mark of the first half, but Delta State was up to the challenge.
- Freshman Carl Swennberg scored his first career goal for the Statesmen in the 41st minute to tie the game at 2-2.
- Tom Toulson assisted on both of Delta State's first-half goals.
- Mattis Kloepper made four saves in the first half for the Green and White.
- The Phoenix found the game's fifth goal in opening 20 minutes of the second half to take a 3-2 advantage.
- A pair of chances in the final 10 minutes for the Statesmen were off the mark as Cumberland sealed the win.
