VALDOSTA, Ga. -- The Delta State University men's basketball team shot 52 percent in the first half and built a seven-point halftime lead, but the Valdosta State Blazers outscored Delta State 46-33 in the second half to take down the Statesmen seventh consecutive time at The Complex.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Delta State shot 52 percent in the first half but went just 11-for-33 (33 percent) in the second half.
- The Blazers edged the Statesmen 43-41 on the glass, included a slim 17-16 advantage in offensive rebounds.
- Neither team shot free throws well, as DSU was 2-of-11 (18 percent) while Valdosta State was 14-of-27 (52 percent).
- Demond Franklin led the Statesmen in scoring with 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting in 19 minutes off the bench.
- Kelen Dietrich (13), Lee Cotton (13), Airen Brooks (10), and Maalik Cartwright (10) each also scored in double figures for the Green and White.
- Cam Hamilton had 18 points to lead all scorers for Valdosta State.
- The Blazers had just one second-half turnover and six for the game, while Delta State had eight second-half turnovers and 13 for the game.
- DSU has lost seven consecutive games at Valdosta State dating back to its last win on the road at VSU on Feb. 7, 2015.
