Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala. -- The University of West Alabama out-rebounded the Delta State University men's basketball team 46-30 and outscored the Statesmen 18-2 in second chance points en route to a 23-point victory over the Statesmen on Thursday night.

STATS OF THE GAME

• The Statesmen had a hot start from three-point territory, with Airen Brooks, Lee Cotton, and Kasey Walker-Gregg each hitting a three-pointer to build a 15-7 lead at the 15:17 mark of the first half. 
• The Tigers responded to tie the game at 19-19 with 10:10 left in the first half.
• West Alabama outscored the Green and White by seven in the remainder of the half and took a 39-32 lead at the break.
• Delta State came out of the locker room with a 5-2 spurt to cut the lead to four at 41-37, but that was as close as the Statesmen would get. 
• A 12-3 spring from the Tigers pushed the lead to 53-40, and the Tigers continued to put the game out of reach from there. 
• West Alabama out-rebounded Delta State 46-30, including 15-7 on the offensive glass. 
• The Tigers had 18 second chance points to DSU's two.
• Airen Brooks led the Statesmen with 16 points and 10 rebounds as he collected his 17th career double-double.
• Maalik Cartwright added 13 points, six rebounds, and five assists with two blocks.
