PENSACOLA, Fla. --
T'Kyra Hicks had a game-high 20 points to lead the No. 5 seeded Delta State University women's basketball team to a 63-51 upset over No. 4 seed University of West Florida in the quarterfinals of the Gulf South Conference tournament on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Statesmen outscored UWF 19-9 in the first quarter and never looked back. After the Argos scored the first points, DSU took the lead and never relinquished it.
