CLEVELAND, Ms. -- Delta State football is inviting all of Statesmen Nation to the Chadwick-Dickson Field House this Wednesday, February 1 for a press conference regarding the 2023 signing class! The event will take place in the Arant Family Room at 11:00 am and is open to the general public and all local media members.

Todd Cooley said he is eager to report the latest information about this year's signing class and expects that Delta State fans will be proud of the news. "We are excited to announce our signing class on Wednesday. Hope everyone will come join us and learn more about our future Statesmen," said Cooley.
Eleven new Statesmen signed in the earlier signing period in December as more young men prepare to join the program. Tycen Gray, Wade Cannon, De'Kyren Johnson, Jessie Shorts, Mark Robinson, Kharel Coney, Nolan Troyer, Detorurean Crosby, Qudarius Hodges, Ahmir Taylor, and Abdural Lee Jr. are the new Statesmen who signed during the early period and are eagerly awaiting to see who will join them in this year's signing class.
The Statesmen are coming off an 11-win 2022 season where they captured their eighth Gulf South Conference championship. During the 2022 season, 12 players were named to the All-GSCÂ team while also securing honors for GSC Offensive Player of the Year
