Cleveland, Miss.-- The Delta State University Men's Soccer traveled to Huntsville, Alabama for a GSC semifinal match with the Warhawks of Auburn Montgomery. DSU returned to the conference semifinals for the first time in a decade. The Warhawks would come out quickly to test the Statesmen's defense by attacking quickly. The Green and White would settle down and start to control the pace of the game and spread the AUM defense out. DSU would hit the Warhawks on a counterattack and
Zach Sorey would hit a beautiful shot in the top corner of the net to give them a 1-0 lead at the half. The Green and White backline would be challenged the entire second half, but they never folded.
