ALBERTVILLE, Ala. -- Delta State Softball traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to compete in the 2023 Charger Chillout this weekend. They started the day by facing Ohio Dominican. The Lady Statesmen saw MyCala Helms and Jenny Griggers hit home runs in the game. Lacey Coats earned the pitching win with Carlie Vannucci earning the save.
The Green and White faced off with the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College in the second game of the day. Helms hit another home run and
Mary Scott Lofton recorded her first triple of the season. The Lady Statesmen used five pitchers against Young Harris.
