Delta State Wins Series Against Missouri Southern

CLEVELAND, Miss. – Statesmen Baseball dropped game one of their Saturday doubleheader against the Missouri Southern Lions, but ultimately left with their first series win of the season. The Statesmen showed once again they could win games in various ways as they continue to fine-tune their offensive identity.
Unearned runs for the Lions proved to be the difference in game one on Saturday with the Statesmen committing two errors. Delta State committed three more in game two, but the pitching and defense shut down almost every scoring threat in the one-run win.
