SEARCY, Ark. – Delta State led from the second inning until the last pitch of Sunday's second game with the Harding Bisons. Delta State pitchers had the strikeout pitch going once again, but the Bisons ultimately made the most of the extra chances given up by the Statesmen.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delta State struck first in the second inning as Jonathan Dewberry scored all the way from second base on a play where Carson Clowers reached first safely on a bunt off a dropped catch by the Harding first baseman. 1-0 Statesmen.
- Harding left 4 runners on base throughout the game until the 7th inning when they loaded the bases with two outs. Harding's leadoff man Cody Smith hit a ground ball back up the middle to score the tying and winning runs. 2-1 Bisons.
ON THE MOUND
- Delta State starter Hammer Franks pitched 5.0 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts while only allowing two hits and a walk.
- Harding starter Will Roguske also pitched 5.0 innings, giving up one unearned run on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
- Cade Hodges entered in relief of Franks in the sixth inning. Hodges pitched 1.0 inning and struck out two of the three batters he faced.
- Dylan Penick relieved Roguske for the Bisons in the top of the 6th inning. He pitched 1.0 inning, facing three batters with one strikeout.
