- Brett Cobb led the second with a single, then a Noah Thigpen double moved both into scoring position. Matthew Nichols was walked to load the bases with no outs. Carson Clowers then brought everyone home with a grand slam over the wall in left-center. The Falcons fell in order in the bottom of the second. 5-0 Delta State after 2.
- Hayden Cooper picked up a one-out single in the third. Montevallo also stranded a runner in the bottom of the third. Jonathan Dewberry hit a solid double to right-center in the top of the fourth as the Statesmen defense forced another inning-ending double play in the bottom half of the inning. 5-0 Delta State after 4.

- Matthew Nichols roped a one-out triple down the first base line in the sixth inning before scoring on a Clowers double. Dewberry then reached on a bunt that also moved Clowers to third. McCauley hit a slow ground out to the second baseman, but was able to do the job of scoring Clowers and moving Dewberry to second. Montevallo fell in order in their half of the inning. 7-2 Delta State after 6.
- Brett Burrell and Cobb drew walks in the seventh. Montevallo stranded two runners in the seventh as well. Clowers drew an HBP and stole second to start the eighth. The Falcons' three-hole hitter Kuchinski led the eighth with a solo home run. Three straight pop-outs in foul territory ended their half of the inning. 7-3 Delta State after 8.
- The ninth inning was the only one in which the Statesmen did not have at least one baserunner. Montevallo hit a two-out double in the ninth, but a ground out to Burrell at third ended the scoring threat and the game. 7-3 Delta State Final.
