Cleveland, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Basketball team traveled to Carrolton, Georgia for a GSC matchup with the University of West Georgia. The Wolves started the contest by scoring 17 points in the first quarter to take a 17-9 lead. The second quarter saw the Lady Statesmen take control of the game by scoring 21 points and only allowing UWG to score nine points to take a 30-24 lead at the half. West Georgia turned up their defensive pressure in the third quarter only allowing DSU to score 13 points while they would score 20 to take a 44-43-point lead into the fourth. The Green and White scored 16 points in the quarter to defeat the Wolves 59-55. Makenzie Hill scored 25 points for DSU on the night.
