Taylor Klosterman scored her first goal of the 2024 campaign as the Delta State University women's soccer team (2-3-5-, 1-2-4 GSC) tied the Chargers from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in a physical GSC match Friday afternoon (Oct. 18) at Delta Field.

Klosterman made a sliding finish on a cross from fellow junior
Casey Stalder with just over 9:00 to go in the opening half to get the Lady Statesmen on the board. That assist marks Stalder's fourth on the season as Stalder is now tied for fourth in the conference in total assists.

The Lady Statesmen had another opportunity show late in the first half as freshman
Vanessa Mendiola would have an opportunity off of a corner in the final seconds get saved by the Charger keeper.

The Chargers would score on a late goal as Carmen Endicott would strike one into the upper right corner from 20 yards out to tie the match up with less than five minutes to go in the game.

The Lady Statesmen came close to putting in a game winner with just over two minutes remaining as
Kennedi Banar had a run at the keeper but the shot went just wide of the goal.

The Lady Statesmen will finish their weekend stretch on Sunday (Oct. 20) afternoon as the Tigers from West Alabama come to Delta Field. That match will kickoff at 1:00 p.m.
