Baglio’s Seven Save Game Gives Statesmen a Point in scoreless tie with Lee

CLEVELAND, TENN. – Junior goalkeeper Mason Baglio recorded seven saves as he faced 12 shots to earn his fourth shutout of the season as the Delta State University men's soccer team (3-4-6, 2-3-3 GSC) end in a scoreless tie with the Flames from Lee University Friday (Oct. 25) night at Lee University.
 
The Statesmen defense showed strength as they faced 12 shots throughout the 90 minutes as Chad Hudson, Santiago Rossi, and Eduardo Guevara played all 90 minutes of the match.
 
Baglio's seven saves mark the most of all four shutouts the New Orleans native has produced in the 2024 season.
 
The Statesmen had an offensive opportunity late in the second half as Cyrus Gulati had a pass send his way and the shot was saved by the Lee keeper to prevent a game winning goal.
 
The Statesmen had seven shots throughout the match.
 
Delta State will make their final road trip of the regular season as they travel to Nashville, Tenn., this Sunday (Oct. 27) to take on the Trojans from Trevecca Nazarene University. Kickoff for this Sunday's match will be at approximately 3:30 p.m. (CDT).
