Daugherty gets Record Tying 17th Career win as Lady Statesmen Shutout the Buccaneers

MEMPHIS, TENN. – Senior goalkeeper Bailey Daugherty has tied the Delta State University women's soccer program record with her 17th career win as a keeper in the Lady Statesmen's 1-0 win over Christian Brothers University Tuesday (Oct. 8) at Signaigo Field in Memphis.

Daugherty's four saves helped preserve her 14th career shutout as she faced eight total shots in the shutout effort.

At the 70-minute mark, junior defender Ava Webster would send a free kick from 40 yards out in the back of the net, scoring her third goal of the season to give the Lady Statesmen a 1-0 lead.

In the final 20 minutes, the Lady Statesmen defense would limit Christian Brothers to one shot to conserve the shutout victory.

The Lady Statesmen (2-2-4, 1-1-3 GSC) will hit the road this Saturday as they head to Montevallo, Ala., to take on the Falcons of the University of Montevallo. That match will kick off at 5:00 p.m. (CDT).
