CLEVELAND, Miss. – Senior goalkeeper
Bailey Daugherty became the all-time leader in goalkeeper shutouts as the Delta State University women's soccer team (5-4-5, 4-3-4 GSC) defeated Auburn University at Montgomery (4-9-2, 2-8-1 GSC) 2-0 Friday afternoon at Delta Field.

Bailey Daugherty bored on the defensive side of the ball, as Daugherty would see seven shots the whole game with two being on goal. Daugherty would have her second shutout of the season and the 15
th shutout of her career.
Senior forward
Robyn Moody also had a career day as she had two assists as the Lady Statesmen outshot the Warhawks 22-7.
The Lady Statesmen scored back-to-back goals in seven minutes late in the first half on two of their ten corners on the afternoon.
The first goal came at the 27
th minute as Moody's corner went into the box, finding the head of
Ava Webster past the keeper for Webster's fourth goal of the season.
The Lady Statesmen would continue the attack for the rest of the half, as seven minutes later Delta State would score on another corner. This time
Chloe Jackson would out jump the Warhawk defenders to head one past the keeper, extending Delta State's lead 2-0.
The Lady Statesmen defense stayed strong in the second half as Daugherty would only have one of her two saves confirming the record breaking 15
th career shutout.
With the win, Lady Statesmen clinch a playoff spot with a Spring Hill loss or tie against Alabama-Huntsville this evening.
The Lady Statesmen will honor their senior class this Sunday, Nov. 3, as they welcome the Blazers from Valdosta State University to Delta Field for a noon kickoff.
