BROOKFIELD, Ill. – The Don Hansen Football Committee recently announced two Delta State University football players as part of the 2024 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-American teams.
Senior offensive lineman
Jaelon Brown leads the charge as a second team All-American.
Brown was the anchor for the Statesmen offensive line that paved the way for 4,366 total yards in the 2024 season.
The Montgomery Ala., native is the first Statesmen offensive lineman to earn Don Hansen All-American honors since Nicholas Meslop earned first team honors in the 2022 season.
Senior kicker
Nick Herber earned honorable mention honors. The Naples, Fla., native served as the place kicker for the Green and White for the past three seasons. The Naples, Fla., native connected on a perfect 38-38 extra point attempts while being 13-16. Herber was 13-14 from inside of 40 yards. Herber was named an AFCA All-American in the 2022 season.
