Cleveland, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Basketball team traveled to Clinton, Mississippi for a GSC matchup with the Choctaws of Mississippi College. The Lady Statesmen controlled the first quarter scoring 19 points and giving up five points in the quarter. MC turned up their intensity in the second scoring 14 points while DSU scored 17 to go into the half leading 36-19. The second half was a different story with MC taking control by scoring 19 points while allowing 14 points. The Green and White struggled in the fourth quarter, only scoring five points in the quarter. The Choctaws hit a buzzer-beater to defeat the Lady Statesmen 56-55.
