ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Delta State Baseball continues to roll as the Statesmen pick up another midweek week from the Natural State. The Statesmen picked up twelve hits at the plate as the Green & White pitching staff racked up eight strikeouts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brett Burrell and Dylan Coleman each singled with two outs in the first before Blayke Dendy hit a three-run homer to right-center. The Tigers recorded a hit, but stranded a runner in the first. 3-0 Delta State after one.
- Both teams stranded a runner in the second inning as Gabe Stockton picked up a hit for DSU. The two teams also went in order in the third. Matthew Martinolich was left on base in the fourth after reaching on an error. The Tigers scored their first run on a walk with the bases loaded. 3-1 Delta State after four.
- Delta State increased their lead in the fifth after Brendan McCauley reached on an error and moved to third on a Burrell single before Dylan Coleman homered to plate three runs. The Tigers scored another run on a sac fly. 6-1 Delta State after five.
- Martinolich singled to start the sixth and scored on an RBI single from Jonathan Dewberry. Wes Warnock was then walked, sending Dewberry to second. He scored on McCauley's RBI single. Burrell was walked to load the bases with one out before Coleman doubled to left field to score Warnock and McCauley. Dendy recorded an RBI on a groundout that scored Burrell. OBU picked up a hit and stranded a runner in the bottom of the sixth. 11-2 Delta State after six.
- Delta State left one on base in the seventh as the Tigers trimmed into the lead with four runs on three hits. 11-6 Delta State after seven.
- The Statesmen left two on base in the eighth after Burrell singled and Dendy drew an intentional walk. The Tigers sent just three to the plate in their half of the inning. Clay Cook was left on base in the ninth after reaching on a catcher's interference. The Tigers picked up two hits, but stranded both runners in the bottom of the ninth. 11-6 Delta State final.
ON THE MOUND
- Starter Brady Davis pitched 3.2 innings, allowing 1 run (earned) on 3 hits. He struck out 4 Tigers with 3 walks.
- Jackson Wilson pitched 2.1 innings, allowing 1 run (earned) on one hit. He also recorded a strikeout and a walk.
- Hammer Franks pitched 0.2 innings, allowing 4 runs (all earned) and 2 hits. He picked up a strikeout and walked 2 Tigers.
- Caleb Smith pitched the final 2.1 innings, allowing 3 hits but no runs. He also struck out 2 batters with no walks.
