HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Statesmen fall in Sunday's series finale at Alabama-Huntsville. The Chargers picked up thirteen hits to DSU's six in the run-rule win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clay Cook and Brendan McCauley reached safely after a walk and an HBP, but DSU was kept off the board after a flyout and a double play. UAH's first four batters reached safely and the momentum allowed them to plate four runs on three hits and an error. 4-0 UAH after one.
- Blayke Dendy launched a solo homer over the right field wall with two outs in the top of the second. The Chargers plated three more runs on three hits and an error. 7-1 UAH after two.
- The Statesmen and Chargers each sent three to the plate in the third. Braiden Jones led the fourth with a double and scored on a two-out RBI single by Matthew Martinolich. UAH loaded the bases twice in the fourth, but could only plate one run. 8-2 UAH after four.
- DSU sent three to the plate in the fifth. UAH plated two runs on a wild pitch and a bases-loaded walk. 10-2 UAH after five.
- The Statesmen got a run back in the top of the sixth after Hayden Cooper was walked with two outs and scored on an RBI double by Blayke Dendy. UAH added three more runs on two hits in the sixth. 13-3 UAH after six.
- Clay Cook picked up a hi, but was left on base in the top of the seventh as the Chargers picked up the series win. 13-3 UAH final.
On The Mound
- Starter Kameron Koch pitched 1.1 innings, allowing seven runs (4 ER) on five hits. He struck out two and allowed a walk.
- Cade Whitley pitched 2.0 innings, allowing an earned run on three hits with a strikeout and three walks.
- Brady Davis pitched 1.0 inning, allowing two earned runs on three hits with a strikeout and a walk.
- Tate Duncan faced five batters, allowing an earned run while striking out one and walking three.
- Josh Hill faced six batters, allowing two earned runs on two hits. He struck out one and walked three.
- Eric Newsom faced one batter in the sixth and drew a 6-4-3 double play.
