CLEVELAND, Miss. – Delta State Baseball wins their second GSC series of 2024 with a split of Saturday's doubleheader against Montevallo. The Statesmen plated 14 runs on 16 hits in the seven-inning rubber match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
- The game was scoreless through five innings when the Falcons plated the first run of the game in the sixth inning. Montevallo added an insurance run in the eighth and out-hit the Statesmen 5-3 for the game.
Game Two
- Montevallo led 2-0 going into the bottom of the second before the Statesmen plated six runs on four hits. DSU added another run in the third on a Brendan McCauley RBI single. Delta State added four runs on four hits in the fourth inning, all with two outs. DSU added two in the fifth and one in the sixth. Montevallo scored four runs in the seventh and brought the tying run to plate with two outs and the bases loaded, but Jackson Wilson was able to draw a groundout to end the game.
