CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Lady Statesmen out-hit the Flames in Sunday's series finale, but were ultimately a run short of Lee. Delta State scored the final four runs of the game and had the tying run at third base with two outs in the seventh.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Statesmen went in order in the top of the first; the Flames scored the first runs of the game off a two-run home run. 2-0 Lee after one.
- Calli McConnel and Laney Daigrepont singled to put two on base with one out in the top of the second. Daigrepont's runner, Mattie Granberry, stole second base to put the pair in scoring position. The scored two batters later when Nevaeh Lopez reached on a throwing error. The Flames scored three run on a solo home run and a two-RBI double in their half of the frame. 5-2 Lee after two.
- Abbi Cataldo drew a walk and was the only DSU baserunner in the third; the Flames added two runs with two hits. 7-2 Lee after three.
- Kyleigh Wheaton reached on a fielder's choice in the top of the fourth, moved to second on a wild pitch, and scored on Emma Collier's RBI single. The Flames left two on base and recorded a hit in the home half of the fourth. 7-3 Lee after four.
- MyCala Helms hit a one-out single and moved to third after a double by Sydney Pevey in the top of the fifth. McConnell scored Helms on an RBI single through the left side of the infield. Lee extended the lead once more with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. 9-4 Lee after five.
- Lopez doubled with one out in the sixth and was joined on base after an HBP to Cataldo with two outs. Helms brought all three in on a homer to center. The Flames left one on base. 9-7 Lee after six.
- A Wheaton single and a Collier double put two in scoring position for the Lady Statesmen with one out in the top of the seventh. Lopez grounded out to score Wheaton's run, represented by Kenzie Guess, and moved Collier to third. Another groundout in the following AB ended the inning and the game. 9-8 Lee final.
ON THE MOUND
- Starter Yazmin Jackson pitched 2.1 innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits with two Ks and two walks.
- Emma Enderud pitched 3.2 innings, allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts and two walks.
