Delta State Hires Braden Treaster as Coordinator of Sports Information

CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Athletic Department announced the hiring of Braden Treaster as the new Coordinator of Sports Information for the department.
 
"We welcome Braden to our Sports Information Department and are optimistic that his experience will enhance our operations and provide increased exposure for our athletic teams and community followers." Delta State Director of Athletics Mike Kinnison stated. "He is familiar with NCAA processes and has been in the Division II sports information arena. He should be an asset to our coverage and production."
 
Treaster joins the #DSUfamily after spending a year as the Director of Athletic Communications at Newberry College in Newberry, S.C., where he provided leadership, supervision, instruction and planning for the athletic communication staff for the 24-sports and 800 student-athletes in the athletic department.

As a Wolf, Treaster served as the primary contact for football, field hockey, baseball, cheer and e sports.
 
Before his time as a Wolf, Treaster spent the 2022-23 season as the Athletic Communications Assistant at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.
 
As a Gorilla, Treaster served as the primary contact for women's volleyball and softball programs while also working with print publications, social media, and website communications. 
 
He previously worked in the Sports Information Department at his alma mater Shippensburg University (Pa.) as a graduate assistant and undergraduate student. 
 
Treaster has gained extensive video experience at Shippensburg and as a production assistant with the State College Spikes, former short season single A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, and currently a collegiate summer baseball team of the MLB Draft League.
