CLEVELAND, MISS. – The Delta State University men's soccer team fell at home against Texas A&M-International by a 2-0 score Saturday (Sept.7) morning at Delta Field.
The Statesmen had two early shots from Ashton and
Braden Taylor that just missed left early on in the contest by tremendous saves from the Dustdevils' goalie.
The Statesmen would out shoot the Dustdevils 15-8 and had five shots on goal to Texas A&M-International's four.
But early in the second half, the Dustdevils would score two goals giving them the advantage and surviving a late Statesmen attack.
The Statesmen (1-1) will head to Memphis next Friday (Sept. 13) to take on the Mocs of Florida Southern College in a neutral site contest being held at Christian Brothers University.
