BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Delta State University Football's Dean Roberts earned this week's Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week announced this morning.
 
Roberts connected with a 21-yard field goal in Delta State's 51-10 win over Ferrum College Saturday afternoon at Parker Field at McCool Stadium.
 
The Mims, Fla., native has scored 26 points for the Green and White in five games played so far in his Freshman season.
 
The Statesmen open conference play this weekend as they head to Livingston, Ala., to take on the Tigers from the University of West Alabama on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (CDT).
