CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Men's Basketball team (2-0, 0-0 GSC) will take their first road trip of the season north to Owensboro, Ky., to take on the Panthers from Kentucky Wesleyan College tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 p.m.

Scouting the Statesmen
- Delta State will be making their first road trip of the season with a 2-0 overall record after defeating LeMoyne-Owen and Williams Baptist in the past week.
- Preseason All-GSC guard Kolby Horace leads all scorers averaging 16.5 points per game after a 26-point performance including a game winning floater against the Magicians from LeMoyne-Owen one week from today. Horace also added eight rebounds in the contest.
- In Monday's win against the Eagles, junior Guard Bryce Clayton had a big night from beyond the arch. The Naples Fla., native had a season high 15 points as he shot 50% from the field and from beyond the arch. As the Eagles were gaining momentum in the second half, Clayton knocked down a few key threes late to seal the win for DSU
Scouting the Panthers
- Kentucky Wesleyan enters this weekend with a 2-1 overall record with their lone loss coming to nationally ranked Missouri S&T last weekend. The Panthers defeated NAIA opponent Saint Mary-of-the-Woods 80-59 Tuesday night.
- The Panthers have three players averaging double digits in scoring so far this season led by senior forward LaVonte Harris. The Louisville native averages 13.0 points per game after scoring his season high 19 against the Pomeroys Tuesday evening.
- Senior forward Faith Huyuk also averages double digits for the Panthers this season. Huyuk averages 12.3 points per game and is the leading rebounder for the Panthers, averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.
