CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Men's Basketball Team (2-1, 0-0 GSC) will hit the road Tuesday evening for a non-conference battle with the Boll Weevils from the University of Arkansas-Monticello at 6:00 p.m. in Steelman Fieldhouse.

Scouting the Statesmen
- Delta State looks to bounce back from Saturday's 86-79 loss on the road to Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday afternoon in Owensboro, Ky., Senior guard Dacory Porter led all scorers with 18 points and nine rebounds.
- The Statesmen have four players averaging double digits in scoring in Kolby Horace, Sam Whitmer, Bryce Clayton and Porter. Horace leads all scorers averaging 11.7 points per game while grabbing five rebounds per game.
- Last time out, Delta State had a huge impact from their bench with 28 points led by freshman Elisha Puckett adding 14 points and seven rebounds. Early in the season, Puckett averages 9.3 points per game and leads the green and white with 9.3 rebounds per game in his freshman season.
Scouting the Boll Weevils
- UAM enters this match up with a 2-2 overall record after back-to-back wins against Hendrix (87-57) and Arkansas Baptist (72-67) both in Steelman Fieldhouse.
- The Weevils have a high scoring duo in senior guard Isaac Jackson and junior forward Josh Smith. Smith leads the duo averaging 17.5 points per game and is pulling down 6.5 boards per game. Jackson is not far behind Smith averaging 17.3 points per game and is pulling down seven rebounds per game in four games played.
- Last time out, UAM defeated Arkansas Baptist 72-67 behind a 28-point performance by Jackson. UAM had a great shooting day from the field as they made 25-48 shooting 52.1% from the field in the win over Arkansas Baptist.
