Curtis Rearden earned Don Hansen All-America honorable mention.
Senior linebacker
William Carter was the top of the list as the Mike backer for the Green and White. The Birmingham native led all Statesmen with 59 tackles (29 solo) on the season. Carter had five TFLs 1.5 sacks, four pass breakups and an interception. Carter was also a C-Spire Conerly Trophy Finalist and the inaugural C-Spire Division II/III Excellence Award at the 2025 C Spire Conerly Trophy presentation.
Carter was a four-year starter for the Statesmen, playing in 42 career games. He totaled 190 tackles, including 97 solo, 14 tackles-for-loss for 51 yards, three sacks, three interceptions, nine pass deflections, one forced fumble, and six fumble recoveries. The Birmingham, Ala., native is a two-time All-Gulf South Conference selection, earning first-team honors this season and second-team honors in 2024.
Rearden had a stellar senior season for the Statesmen as he was second in the GSC with seven touchdown receptions. The Chicago native had 22 receptions for 592 yards averaging just under 27 yards per catch.
Rearden earned GSC Offensive Player of the Week with his four receptions for 207 yards and three touchdowns against West Florida. Curtis earned First Team All-GSC Honors. In his two seasons at Delta State, Rearden hauled in 33 receptions for 800 yards and eight touchdowns.
