CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Men's Basketball Team (14-11, 10-9 GSC) are back in Walter Sillers Coliseum this weekend for the final time in the regular season as they welcome the Flames from Lee University and the Trojans from Trevecca Nazarene University.
The Statesmen host Lee this evening at approximately 7:30 p.m., (CDT). DSU will finish the weekend against the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene Saturday at approximately 4 p.m.

Scouting the Statesmen
- The Delta State Men's Basketball team enter their final two-game home stretch of the regular season with a chance to get into the Truist GSC Championship Tournament with a win. The Statesmen hold a 14-11 record and are 10-9 in GSC play. Since mid-January, Delta State has won eight of their last nine games
- Senior guard Keithean Brooks enters this weekend as the reigning GSC Player of the Week. The Walls native averaged 26 points per game while shooting 18-23 from the field in last week's two-game road trip to Valdosta and Pensacola. Brooks enters this weekend nine points away from surpassing 1,000 points in his Statesmen career.
- Senior Point Guard Chris Terrell enters this weekend as a pest on both sides of the ball. The Horn Lake native leads the nation with 90 steals and is 44 points from scoring 1,000 in a Delta State Uniform.
Scouting the Flames
- Lee enters this weekend's trip to the Magnolia State with a 10-12 overall record and are currently 6-12 in GSC play. Last weekend, the Flames defeated their travel partner in Trevecca Nazarene in a nail-biting 69-67 win in Nashville.
- The Flames have been led by Grad forward Noah Boler-Kyle. The Decatur, Ala., native is averaging 10.4 points per game and is pulling down 5.4 rebounds per game. Against Trevecca last weekend, Boler-Kyle scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds while dishing out four assists.
- Last time out, Tylon Chatman led the way for the Flames in their 69-67 win on the road last Saturday at Trevecca Nazarene. The sophomore guard had 23 points shooting 9-18 from the field and 5-10 from beyond the arch. Chatman also dished out three assists in the win.
Scouting the Trojans
- Trevecca Nazarene enters this weekend with a 16-8 overall record and a 11-7 record in GSC play. The Trojans are in fourth place in the GSC standings and are a game and a half ahead of the Statesmen.
- TNU has a one-two punch in Jalen Page and Jikari Johnson. Page leads the Purple and White averaging 22.1 points per game while pulling down 5.6 rebounds per game. Johnson also averages 20.5 points per game headed into this weekend. Both Johnson and Page average about three made three-point field goals per game.
- The TNU front court is led by senior forward NaVuan Peterson. Peterson averages nearly a double-double per game averaging 10.4 points per game and pulling down 8 rebounds per game.
