TYLER, Texas – The Delta State University Women's Tennis team (0-1, 0-0 GSC) fell to the Lady Chaps of Lubbock Christian University (5-1, 0-0 LSC) 6-1 Saturday afternoon at the Summers Tennis Center at the University of Texas at Tyler.
 
Delta State got their lone point in the number one singles match as Elena Palioura defeated LCU's Andrea De Bernardo in straight sets (6-1, 6-1).
 
In no. 3 singles Yasmina Mayer played to a third set against Axelle Jacquemin, before falling (6-2, 2-6, 1-6).
 
The Lady Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow morning at 11 AM as they will face off against the University of Texas Permian Basin.
