JACKSON, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Tennis Team (0-5, 0-1 GSC) lost to the Tigers from Jackson State University 6-1 Friday afternoon at the JSU Tennis Courts in Jackson.
 
Delta State would get their point from freshman Elena Palioura in the No. 1 Singles Match. Palioura defeated JSU's Paula Corblan (3-6, 7-6, 10-5).
 
Palioura is off to a 4-1 start in singles action to her career at Delta State.
 
The Lady Statesmen are back in action this upcoming Tuesday, as they host the Muleriders from Southern Arkansas University at 1:00 p.m., (CDT) at the Cleveland Country Club.
