Tickets on Sale for Hall of Fame Induction

CLEVELAND, Miss. – Tickets are now on sale for the induction of the Delta State Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 to be held on Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. in Jobe Auditorium on the campus of Delta State University. A reception will precede the induction ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

"The inductees for 2025 represent the highest achievements of our former student athletes, and their accomplishments are always evidence of how they have separated themselves to join this elite group," said Director of Athletics Mike Kinnison. "We invite all Delta State fans to join us, as we honor and celebrate this distinguished class."

CLASS OF 2025
Miriam "Moe" Bell Black played for the Lady Statesmen basketball program from 2007-11. She was an All-GSC (2009) and All-Region (2009) selection. She holds the No. 1 spot in the record book in several categories: career 3-pointers (286), single season 3-pointers (99), single game 3-pointers (10), season free-throw percentage (.933), and career free-throw percentage (.870).

Sarita "Bug" Cooper-White played for Delta State women's basketball from 2007-11. She was a two-time All American in 2010 and 2011, an All-Gulf South Conference selection from 2009-11, and an All-Region selection in 2009 and 2010. Cooper-White tallied 1,027 career points, 249 career steals, and 963 career assists in 134 games played, both of which rank second in program history.
 
Rob Davis played football for the Statesmen from 2003-06. He was an All-GSC selection in 2006, a season that saw him total 88 receptions (ranked first in program history) for 1,228 yards. He is tied for 7th in the record book for receptions in a single game with 12. In his career, he totaled 245 receptions (ranked first) for 3,166 receiving yards (ranked second).
 
Andy Dillard played baseball for Delta State from 2002-05 and was named All American and All Region in 2002. Further, he garnered All-GSC (2002-03), GSC West Player of the Year (2002), and Academic All-GSC (2003) honors in his time with the Statesmen. Statistically, Dillard recorded 93 hits (ranked fifth), 80 RBIs (ranked sixth), 156 total bases (ranked eighth) and batted .425 (ranked seventh) in his first season.
 
Pete Golding was a four-year starter for Statesmen football from 2002-05 at safety and
racked up 285 career tackles. In 2004, he garnered All-Gulf South Conference honors after leading the team with 85 tackles with two interceptions and eight pass break-ups. As a senior in 2005, he tallied 81 tackles with five tackles-for-loss, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. He also coached as a graduate assistant (2005) and defensive coordinator (2010-11). Golding currently serves as the defensive coordinator at Ole Miss, after coaching stints at Tusculum (2007-09), Southeastern Louisiana (2012-13), Southern Miss (2014-15), and UTSA (2016-17). Most notably, Golding was the defensive coordinator at Alabama where he reached the National Championship seven times, winning it three times.
 
Brad Latham was a four-year starter for Delta State football from 2005-09. He was named a Daktronics All American, All Region, and All-GSC in 2009. Further, he received All-GSC Academic honors (2008-09) and was named to the GSC All-Decade Team (2000-09). He played in all 15 games in 2006 and all 12 games in 2007 and 2008.
 
Kasey Perkins Penrod swam for Delta State from 2004-07 and finished her career with 28 individual NCAA Championship Points (ranked tenth in program history). In her tenure, she finished fourth nationally in the 200 breaststroke. Penrod was an All-American in the 200 Breaststroke and Honorable Mention All-American in the 200 Individual Medley (IM), 400 IM, 800 freestyle, and 400 freestyle relays in 2005, as well as Honorable Mention All-American in the 200 IM, 800 freestyle, and 400 freestyle relays in 2006. She also garnered Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke in 2007. Penrod was also the recipient of the Kerg Award in 2007, awarded to the top female student-athlete at Delta State.
 
Matt Sellers played golf for Delta State from 2004-2007. He was a two-time Academic All-American (2006-07) and received All-GSC Academic honors in 2006. He was a member of the first Delta State golf team to be ranked No. 1 nationally (Fall 2023), as well as being a member of a team that won 17 tournaments from 2003-05 and the 2005 GSC Champions team. He ranks tied for fourth all-time in rounds played for DSU (28).
