SEARCY, Ark.- The Delta State University Softball Team (10-17, 5-12 GSC) fell in a mid-week double header against the Lady Bisons from Harding University (31-4, 15-2 GAC) Tuesday afternoon at HU Softball Field.

Harding took game one by a final score of 2-0 and followed it up with a 15-1 win in game two.

GAME ONE
The Lady Statesmen were on the wrong end of a pitcher's dual in game one as
Emma Enderud pitched six innings while striking out three batters.

At the plate in game one, freshman right fielder
Mary Teague went 2-3 at the plate with a double in the leadoff position.

The Lady Bisons would score in the second and the third inning on rbi singles.

GAME TWO
Harding took game two by a 15-1 final score. In game two Delta State would threaten in the top of the second inning. Junior third baseman
Calli McConnell went 1-2 at the plate with a double for the green and white.

After falling behind 2-0 Delta State would play small ball to force a run across the plate on a rbi sacrifice bunt from
Bailey Way in the top of the second to make it 2-1.

The Lady Statesmen return home Friday for a GSC doubleheader against the Chargers from the University of Alabama at Huntsville. The first pitch Friday for game one will be at 3:00 p.m. (CDT).
