CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University Men's Basketball Team (16-12, 12-10 GSC) will play in the Truist Gulf South Conference Championship tonight against the Trojans from Trevecca Nazarene University (19-9, 14-8 GSC).

The Statesmen and Trojans tip off at 7:00 p.m.(CDT) in the Trojan Fieldhouse on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene. 

Fans can follow the action on the Statesmen Sports Network as the Voice of the Statesmen Michael Gross will be on air or watch it live on the FloCollege network. 

Scouting the Statesmen

• Delta State enters the postseason winning 10 out of their last 12 contests carrying a 16-12 overall record and are the five seed with a 12-10 GSC record.
• The Statesmen backcourt has been the key to the 10-2 record in the past 12 games. Senior point guard Chris Terrell has been a pest to opponents on the offensive end and the defensive end. The Horn Lake native leads all Statesmen scorers averaging 21.2 points per game and leads the nation with 98 steals.
• Senior guard Keithean Brooks has been on a roll in the past 12 games for Delta State. Brooks averages 20.3 points per game this season. Last time out Brooks posted a double-double scoring 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Scouting the Trojans 

• Trevecca Nazarene has earned the four seed in the Truist Gulf Conference Championship Tournament as they hold a 19-9 overall record and a 14-8 record in GSC play.
• The Trojans are also led by a back court duo of Jalen Page and Jikari Johnson. Page leads all scorers averaging 21.8 points per game while shooting 42% from beyond the arch. Johnson leads the team with 31 steals this season.
• Last time out, Trevecca Nazarene defeated Christian Brothers in their season finale 79-56. In the win, Johnson led all Trojan scorers with 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
