SEARCY, Ark. – The Delta State University Tennis Team (2-6, 0-1 GSC) fell to the ITA no. 8 ranked Bisons from Harding University (7-3, 0-0 GAC) Friday afternoon from the David Elliott Tennis Complex in Searcy.
 
The Statesmen showed fight in the no. 1 singles and the no. 6 singles match as Hector Ortiz would be in a tight battle falling (4-6, 4-6) to Cas de Ruiter.
 
In no. 6 singles Tom Rance would take the first set in a three-set tie breaker against Florian Gayme. Rance fell (6-4, 3-6, 1 (10)-0 (6)).
 
The Statesmen are back on the court next Wednesday, as they travel to Livingston, Ala., to take on the Tigers from the University of West Alabama. Wednesday's match will start at 2:00 p.m. (CDT).
