CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Tennis Team (1-14, 1-6 GSC) fell at home against the ITA no. 22 ranked Lady Choctaws from Mississippi College (16-4, 5-1 GSC) 6-1 this afternoon at the Cleveland Country Club Tennis Courts.
 
The Lady Statesmen got a point from junior Yasmina Mayer. Mayer won on the no. 3 court (6-2, 1-6, 6-3) to give DSU a point on her birthday.
 
Maria Caride battled on the no. 2 court but fell short in a three-set match to MC's Martinez (6-1, 4-6. 3-6).
 
The Lady Statesmen have a week off before celebrating their Senior Day at the Cleveland Country Club on Friday, April 18 at 12:00 p.m. (CDT).
