CLEVELAND, Miss. – Tickets are on sale and sponsorships are available now for A Night of Champions featuring Mike Matheny. The second annual event, hosted by the Delta State University Department of Athletics with title sponsor Cannon GMC Buick of Cleveland, is slated for Friday, August 8 at 7 p.m. in Walter Sillers Coliseum.
 
Matheny is most notably known for his time behind the dish with the St. Louis Cardinals from 2000-04 where he was a three-time Gold Glove recipient, adding another in 2005 while catching for the San Francisco Giants. He later began his managing career with his former club, the Cardinals, from 2011-2018, followed by a stint with the Kansas City Royals from 2020-22. 

The MLB veteran appeals to a myriad of interests in which all Delta State sports fans will appreciate, including professional baseball player and manager, philanthropist, believer, author, and youth sports advocate.
 
A Night of Champions ticket options include General Admission Individual, General Admission Couple, and Reserved Table of Eight. Various levels of sponsorship are also available and include tickets, drinks, recognitions, and more. All tickets and sponsorships can be purchased HERE.
