CLEVELAND, Miss. – The fall competition schedules have been announced for the four fall sports teams.
Football
The 2025 campaign features six home and five road games starting with seven non-conference opponents. On Thursday, August 28, the Statesmen kick off their season at home against the University of Central Missouri for the first time in program history with a 6 p.m. start time. The following week, the Statesmen will face the Trailblazers of North Greenville for Pig Pickin' on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. Delta State will then face back-to-back road trips against UNC Pembrook and Fort Valley State. The Statesmen will return home to play Erskine College on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. The month of October features a road game at Barton College, followed by a bye week, then Homecoming on October 18 at 1 p.m. against Ferrum College. Delta State will then open Gulf South Conference play on the road at West Alabama on Saturday, Oct. 25. The remaining three games are a home game against West Florida on Nov. 1 at 3 p.m., an away game against Valdosta State the following week, and a home game, Senior Day, against Kentucky State on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
Women's Soccer
The Lady Statesmen soccer schedule features eight home matches. The home opener is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4 at 1 p.m., as DSU takes on Eckerd College. One more non-conference home match against Nova Southeastern is scheduled for Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. before GSC play begins the following week. Home conference matchups include contests against West Florida, Spring Hill, Christian Brothers, Montevallo, Trevecca Nazarene, and Lee. All home games are scheduled for 1 p.m. at Delta Field. The Lady Statesmen will hit the road for seven matches, one non-conference match against Georgia College & State University, and six conference matches at Union, Mississippi College, West Alabama, Alabama Huntsville, Valdosta and Auburn Montgomery.
Men's Soccer
The Statesmen are scheduled for six regular season home matches, all GSC contests, at Delta Field in 2025. They host conference foes Mississippi College (Sept. 14), West Florida (Sept. 19), Spring Hill (Sept. 21), Christian Brothers (Sept. 28), Trevecca Nazarene (Oct. 24), and Lee (Oct. 26). All home matches are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Delta State opens the season with three straight road games against St. Edward's, Texas A&M International, and Louisiana Christian. The remaining road schedule features conference contests at Union, Mississippi College, West Alabama, Alabama Huntsville, Montevallo, and Auburn Montgomery.
Cross Country
Lady Statesmen Cross Country will compete in five regular season meets in the 2025 season, competing at hosts Mississippi College (Sept. 5 and Oct. 17), Rhodes College (Sept. 20), Blue Mountain (Sept. 27), and Belhaven (Oct. 4). The GSC Championships will take place at Shelby Farms in Memphis, Tenn., on Saturday, Oct. 25.
